First aid training

All the first aid courses that we offer at Echo Training Services are fully up to date with the latest guidelines from the Resuscitation council UK. We can provide courses in first aid that are either regulated, non - regulated or bespoke. We can provide all our first aid courses either at our training centres in Thanet, Canterbury, Herne Bay or at your location.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work - 3 Day Course

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification is specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Successful candidates will learn how to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work and will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid. What's more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks introduced in the recent Health and Safety Executive (HSE) changes.

The course includes: The role and responsibilities of a first aider, assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, cardio pulmonary resuscitation CPR , recovery position, heart attack, stroke, choking, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, anaphylaxis, shock head and spinal injuries, chest injuries, wounds and bleeding, fractures, sprains, strains and dislocations, minor injuries, burns and scalds, poisoning and eye injuries. 

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work - 1 Day Course

The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations. What's more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks introduced in the recent Health and Safety Executive (HSE) changes. The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work is the minimum first aid qualification that you are allowed within the workplace.

The course includes: The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider, assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty,cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), recovery position, choking, seizures, shock, wounds and bleeding, minor injuries including cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds 

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an Automated External Defribillator  - 1 Day Course

The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator qualification has been designed to provide candidates with the skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective basic life support and use an AED safely in emergency situations. With an estimated 60,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests occurring every year in the UK alone, make sure you are prepared! 

The course includes: Chain of survival, assessing an incident,casualty assessment, managing an unresponsive casualty, recovery position, CPR  AED safety considerations, using an AED , combining AED use with CPR , using an AED on a child and procedures for when Emergency Services arrive.

Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid - 2 Day Course

The Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a responsibility to provide first aid in outdoor and activity-based environments. Successful candidates will gain the knowledge and skills needed to treat a range of conditions that could occur during any form of activity, from life threatening illnesses to minor injuries.

The course includes: The role and responsibilities of a first aider, assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR , recovery position, heart attack, stroke, head neck and back injuries, chest and abdominal injuries, fractures, external bleeding, shock, burns and scalds, choking, poisoning, anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy and seizures, treatment for hot and cold temperatures, minor injuries, sprains strains and dislocations and eye injuries 

First Aid at Work Annual Refresher - 3 hour Course

Did you know that the HSE guidelines state that employers should ensure their first aiders remain competent to perform their role? As such, it is strongly recommended that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to practise their skills and update their knowledge on the latest first aid procedures. The First Aid at Work Annual Refresher qualification is specifically designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly, until requalification training is required. Successful candidates will leave with a renewed confidence, having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, as well as learn the latest techniques needed to deal with an emergency situation. With all subjects covered in just half a day, this course is an ideal way to satisfy HSE requirements whilst minimising disruption to your organisation's day to day activities! 

The course includes: Assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, recovery position, CPR , wounds and bleeding, managing a casualty in shock and seizures.
