General awareness training
Lone Worker Awareness - 3 to 4 hours
With more and more people working from home and in the field it is necessary to protect them staff members. The HSE defines lone workers as someone who "works by themselves without close or direct supervision" these staff members can include home visiting, working from home, travelling as part of their jobs or staff that work in a office or building on there own. All employers have a duty of care to their staff members at all times whilst that staff member is acting in the job.
The course includes: Looking at potential risk area, Risk assessments to reduce unnecessary incidents, Keeping in touch and getting help in a emergency, Recording and reporting of all incidents, Skills for managing challenging or aggressive behaviour and Lone worker policies and reviewing them
Customer Care Awareness - 3 to 4 hours
Customers are the lifeblood of any business and staff need to know how to treat them but at the same time not to take any abuse from them. This course give the delegate the knowledge on how to treat the customer with respect by being polite, happy and friendly but also how to deal with angry customers that are shouting and demeaning.
The course includes: Greeting the customer, Understanding the customers needs by listening and confirming, Using positive language to a customer, Not confusing a customer with Jargon, Concluding the sale or contact with the customer, Dealing with angry customers and the importance of body language and the tone of voice.
